Grant Created in Honor of Baptist Employee, Vickie Gerrard, RN, BSN, CPHQ

The Board of the Mississippi Association of Healthcare Quality established the Vickie Gerrard CPHQ Grant in 2010 for a deserving MsAHQ member who has recently achieved certification in healthcare quality. CPHQ stands for Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality.

The Grant is a one-time award, in an amount equivalent to the cost of taking the CPHQ examination. The Grant was created to honor Vickie Gerrard and her many contributions to MsAHQ, its members, and to the healthcare quality community. Over her distinguished career, Vickie Gerrard has been devoted to promoting ongoing education for healthcare quality professionals.

A charter member of MsAHQ, she served as President three terms, Education Chair, Historian, and remained a member of the Board for over ten years. In recognition of her many contributions, lifelong love of learning, and in honor of her ongoing commitment to healthcare quality, the Vickie Gerrard CPHQ Grant will be launched during the Annual MsAHQ Fall Conference in Hattiesburg, October 29, 2010. For more information about MsAHQ, the conference, of the Vickie Gerrard CPHQ Grant visit www.missahq.org.
